Today 40 years ago, on July 2nd 1978, the first World Championship in slotracing was decided.
125 drivers from 15 different countries met up in a mall in Gothenburg, Sweden to fight for it.
It was a great success and in the end Joel Montague from team Camen of the USA came out as the winner.
